Community Health Profile

The Community Health Profile is a critical first step in identifying community health needs and problems, which then serve as the basis for establishing priorities in the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). The CHIP (currently in the process of being updated) is a five-year, community-wide plan that identifies health priorities and community-wide goals and objectives for addressing those priorities.

In September 2011, the Bernalillo County Community Health Council released a new report - "The Impact of Federal Healthcare Reform on Indigent Care in Bernalillo County" by Kelly O'Donnell, PhD, with the support of the Con Alma Health Foundation's "Blueprint for Health" project.
